Home Expressions

As a Product/Packaging Designer at Home Expressions, I develop packaging and design housewares under private labeling, working across a range of major retail clients—including Hobby Lobby, Big Lots, DD’s Discounts, At Home, and Roses.

With my current role, I work primarily as a product designer, flexing to packaging work when needed, alongside taking product photography, conducting market research (in-store comp-shopping and online) as well as working alongside factories, reviewing samples and providing feedback along the production sample.

See some samples of my work below.

Packaging Design

Children’s Pop-Up Hampers

A series of bellyband designs for a children’s hamper line for Big Lots. The only request from the buyer was to have the packaging targeted towards children, so I decided to draw a mascot relevant to each hamper’s design, with matching background elements. To further bring the design together & fit the children’s theme, packaging copy was placed in a speech bubble, adding additional character to the design.

Shower Caddy Packaging

Children’s Translucent Pattern Hangers

A collection of children’s hangers developed for a new product line. Each hanger features translucent colored plastic with an internal pattern that subtly shows through, offering a unique way for children to express their personality within their room. The patterns were designed as a cohesive set, all drawn in a consistent style, with star-shaped glitter serving as a unifying element across the three designs.
